Fintech recruitment in Dubai & the UAE

Payments, fintech and technology hiring across the UAE, including DIFC and ADGM-regulated firms.

The UAE has become a genuine fintech hub rather than a regional sales office, and the hiring market has changed with it. Companies now need people who can build and run regulated financial products locally, not manage a relationship with a team elsewhere.

We recruit into Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the wider GCC for payment companies, fintechs, digital asset businesses and financial institutions.

What shapes hiring in this market

Two regulatory regimes, and they are not interchangeable

DIFC (DFSA) and ADGM (FSRA) operate separately from the onshore CBUAE regime. A candidate approved under one is not automatically approved under another, which materially affects timelines for MLRO and compliance hires.

Relocation is a large part of the pipeline

A significant share of strong candidates relocate in, most commonly from the UK, Europe, South Asia and Southeast Asia. Visa sponsorship, notice periods and family logistics belong in the hiring plan, not the offer stage.

Compensation is quoted differently

Packages are frequently discussed as a monthly, tax-free figure with allowances, which does not map cleanly onto an annual gross salary elsewhere. Misalignment here is a common late-stage deal breaker.

Local rails and regional context matter

Familiarity with the regional payments landscape and regional scheme and banking relationships is a real differentiator for payments hires, and is not something a generalist recruiter screens for.

How we cover Dubai

Hirra recruits into Dubai and the wider UAE & GCC region. We work remotely across these markets rather than from a local office, which we mention because plenty of recruitment websites imply otherwise.

Hiring a role that generalist recruiters keep getting wrong?

Send us the brief. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right people for it, what the market looks like, and what it will take to hire.
